Social networking software for wine lovers. This software is some of the most actually useful I've encountered, allowing you to keep track of wines you've tried, your tasting notes, what you've got at home, and what you want to buy, as well as checking out what your friends are into. Excellent.

About This Site
BenandCam.net was originally conceived by Ben and Cam Collins as an expanded blog whose purpose was to allow us to compile notes, links, photos and other information related to moving away from Kingsport, TN. Initially, we intended to include links to city portals and other sites related to cities where we thought we might want to move, notes on those cities when we visited, job hunting resources, and related information. The site rapidly evolved into a blog chronicling our progress as we dove into the world of small business ownership, starting
Spirit Guardian, our own web design firm in May 2004.
In November 2004, Spirit Guardian merged its local interests with Graphic Bliss, a Bristol, TN marketing firm. In yet another twist, Ben and Cam purchased that company in April 2007, and the firm is now known as
The Bliss Agency. The Bliss Agency is currently headquartered in Bristol, TN, but represents clients throughout the country.
BenandCam.net is now in its third incarnation, functioning as our personal blog. We discuss a range of topics, from notable events in our personal lives to current events, politics, technology, and a range of other topics guaranteed to annoy some people.
With that in mind, if any of the following statements apply to you, you probably don't want to read our blog:
- I believe gay people should not have the right to marry.
- I believe evolution should not be taught in public school science classes.
- I believe a black person (or Latino, Asian, woman, anything other than old, straight white men) should not be president.
- I hate non-human animals.
- I take blogs too seriously, or personally.
- I am offended by "bad words."
If any of the above applies to you, you will be offended, annoyed, or both by our blog. You will probably leave trollish comments, and we will delete them. Why? Because if any of these statements describe you, we think you're an asshole, and your opinions don't concern us.
About Ben
Ben Collins lives with his wife Cam in Bristol and works at
The Bliss Agency. He is a jack of many trades in the computer and graphics industry, though web design is his primary interest. He is a proud father of a seven-year-old son named Gannon. You can usually find him listening to electronic music, but he loves Celtic, grunge, and punk as well. Ben loves the outdoors and is very friendly and outgoing with others. He's into sports, especially the FSU Seminole football team, which comes from his days growing up in Tallahassee, Florida. He's lived in the Tri-Cities region since 1996.
About Cam
Cam Collins is a web designer who currently lives in Bristol, TN, with her husband, Ben, his son Gannon, their wonderful cats (Zach, Trevor, Sybil, Meme, Molly, Luna, Sya, Sheba and Bright), and their chocolate lab, Koto. She really has way too many interests to include here, but some of them include tattoos and piercing, comics (mostly of the Vertigo/non-mainstream superhero sort), books (both literary and genre, and especially Harry Potter, the Dark Tower, Neil Gaiman, Nick Bantock, Poppy Z. Brite, Caitlin Kiernan, Joan Vinge, Stephen King, Michael Chabon, P.D. James, and probably a bunch of others that slip her mind right now), music (she's mostly into punk, hardcore, and 80's goth and new wave, but she likes a bunch of other random shit too), video games, animals and animal rights, anime, writing, and of course web design and development. (For a lengthier list of Cam's interests, you can check out her Livejournal profile
here).
